Course Overview

This web development course will help the students grasp a solid knowledge on the web development concepts and technologies related to designing, developing, publishing, and accessing a website. The students will learn front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), back-end technologies and frameworks like ReactJS, NodeJS to produce responsive multipage websites.

Career preparation

By the end of this bootcamp, students gain practical, hands-on experience preparing them for career-ready skills for associate to advanced roles as Front-end developers, UI/UX Designers, back-end developers, and full-stack developers.

Learning components

  • Class Materials of 4 main Topics:
    1. Website Design and Development Fundamentals
    2. Hosting and publishing a website.
    3. Front-end technologies and related frameworks
    4. Back-end technologies and related frameworks
  • Hands-on labs practices, activities, and quizzes reinforce learning.
  • Exams to measure learning outcomes.
  • Assessment features to ensure exam security and integrity.

Course Eligibility

  • A Candidate at least must be a bachelor’s degree holder in the computing field or any other relevant discipline.
  • A candidate can be in their last year of study.
  • Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 60% in BSc.

Number of seats: 20

Selection criteria

  • Candidates who have scored above 90% GPA are given priority.
  • Candidates who have programming knowledge are given priority.

 

Start and End Date: 1st of November to 1st of February 2023 (every Saturday and Thursday 6 hours each day 9:00 to 3:00)

Fees:  350 JDs

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR ( ENG Hana Alrasheed)

 

Hana AlRasheed holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of Jordan. She is an Assistant Instructor at the School of Computing and Informatics at Al Hussain Technical University and she is perusing her master’s degree in the computer science. In her current role, Hana teaches a variety of courses such as programming, prototyping, website design, data structures, and algorithms. Previously, Hana worked as a Software Quality Assurance Specialist, her responsibilities included eliciting software requirements, preparing test plans, test cases, and scenarios, reporting bugs, and training end-users on how to use the software.

Hana holds a training of a trainer certificate on web development technologies at Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), she also holds a certified foundation level “CTFL” certificate in quality assurance field

she delivered upskilling trainings on the following areas:

  • Java programming
  • Website design and development technologies
  • SQL and Data Analytics courses.
